How YOU can help!

How YOU can help!

Concerned folks frequently ask us how they can help abused and neglected horses. There are many ways you can help:

1.  Adopt a rescued horse!  There are many nice horses looking for kind new owners. Remember, all rescues have space and financial limitations that dictate how many horses they can help at any one time. Until rescue residents are placed, others must be turned away. So if you are searching for a new equine friend, please think of those in rescues first!

2.  Refer potential new horse owners to an exerienced, knowledgeable horse professsional for advice and information. Helping potential owners understand the commitment can prevent neglect or abuse from happening. Horse-related education can take the form of lessons, formal coursework, or volunteerism with local clubs, shelters, or organizations.

3.  Donate to a horse rescue or shelter. Most greatly appreciate donations of money, hay, horse related items and equipment, coupons or gift certificates from local feed stores and/or items that can be sold or raffled for money.  I would like to encourage anyone who wants to donate to a shelter or rescue of any kind to please visit the facility first if at all possible. There are many scammers out there who appeal to the generosity of caring people who simply are NOT rescues that will gladly take your money. If you can't visit, check with the BBB and/or ask for references before you send any money!

4.  Volunteer. Most shelters and rescues operate on a shoestring and cannot hire paid staff to help with the labor involved in operating a rescue. Volunteers are greatly appreciated for doing things like grooming and handling horses, clean-up days, constructing and maintaining buildings and fencing, organizing and manning fundraisers, and yes-cleaning horse poo!  Check with your local rescue/shelter to find out how you can help!

5.  Pray. We believe that God answers prayers. He gave us this farm and we prayerfully ask His blessing that we can continue. Your prayers are very much appreciated as well!

Now you can support our farm while looking GOOD!

Now you can support and promote our farm while getting something back!  We are selling T-shirts and hoodies with our farm logo and name and they are really sharp shirts!  See below for a sample of what our t-shirts look like. If you would like to order a T-shirt or hoodie, email us and specify what type of shirt and size you want. Special orders can be arranged. T-shirts are $15.00 (add $3.00 for shipping) and hoodies are $30.00 (add $4.00 for shipping).  Payments can be accepted for these by sending a personal check for the shirt plus shipping costs to the address below or you can submit payment via PayPal by clicking the "Donate" button below as well.  Of course, shirts can be purchased at the farm as well so pick one up when you come to visit!

If you  want to make a donation but do not want a T-shirt, you can also click the "donate" button below. In advance, let us thank you for your support and caring!  We would not be able to continue without the generosity and kindness of others.
