Come to our 2nd Annual Maine Horse Rescue Alumni Benefit Horse Show
Last year's rescue show was such a success and so much fun that we're doing it again
this year. Once again, our rescue is partnering with Open Gates Equine Rescue in New Gloucester to promote rescued horses
as valuable equine partners and performance horses. The show will be held on September 26th at the Silver Spur Riding
Club in Sidney, Maine.
We are thrilled to announce that our judge will once again be Cohne Goodwin!
This show is open to all horses but will also have jackpot payout classes limited to horses that have
been adopted from approved shelters or rescues. There will also be a “Parade
of Hope” in which shelters or rescues can exhibit horses they currently have available for adoption. Horse rescues will also be invited to bring information and sales tables to help raise much-needed
funds. Come be part of the fun and support Maine horse rescues! The show will start at 9:00 sharp. Contact Jen Winchester

Come see us at the Bangor State Fair, August 1, 6-8th!
The organizers at the Bangor State Fair have kindly allowed us stall and booth space to set up a display at the fair.
We'll be there on August 1st, and the 6-8th, so if you are going to be going to the fair, come see us! We'll be selling
t-shirts, talking to folks about the issues in horse welfare, promoting adoptions and bringing along our favorite farm ambassador,
Minnie, for the kids to pat and for photo ops. Minnie is a true equine diva and eats up the attention, even whinnying
when people walk by without saying hi to her! See you at the fair!

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been adopted and have gone to live with their new family! What
a wonderful Christmas present for two wonderful, deserving horses!

4-H'ers Take a Tour!
Today we had a wonderful 4-H group from Ellsworth come to take a tour of the farm and talk about
horses. What a great group of kiddos! They brought a big bag of carrots for the horses and asked great questions.
They also humbled my spirit once again when they presented me with a thank-you card and a cash donation. These kids
are the future horse women and men and to see them so full of enthusiasm and willingness to learn gives me great hope that
we can make a difference by teaching the next generation to love and respect God's creatures. Thank you to
Heather, their leader and Jen a parent-volunteer for bringing them. But most of all thank you to the kiddos: Jackson, Rebecca,
Rebekah, Justine, Annie, Dalaney, and Morgan. You made my day!

sport our beautiful airbrushed rearing pegasus logo and scripture "Those who hope in the Lord will soar on
