Spirit of Hope Farm  is a licensed shelter for horses that have been seized by the state because of significant neglect and/or abuse.  Jen and Jess then invest lots of time, training, love (and yes, money) into rehabilitating them and then work to find them new homes where they will continue to be loved and properly cared for. We are not a "non-profit" in the legal sense. However, we do not do this work to make money but rather to help as many horses as possible recover from their difficult pasts.  Because of the enormous expense of running this shelter, donations of grain, hay, and other horse supplies are gladly accepted and very much appreciated!   

 

Spirit of Hope Farm will be offering a humane education summer program called Animal Friends beginning in June of 2008 so check back as that plan comes together!  Also, Jen and Jess are also working toward a long-term goal of developing an Equine Assisted Therapy program where human and horse, each with broken spirits can, with the help of each other and the healing love of Jesus Christ, find a renewed Spirit of Hope.
